Hello,
I am experiencing a problem with my HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer when printing a double-sided document (Word, PDF, from software, or other). During printing, my document is shifted down, causing everything to be misaligned. When I print single-sided, I don't have any issues.
Can you please help me?
Best regards
Mehdi

Hello
Quick question!
When you print double-sided, are the printed sides misaligned?
If not, it’s probably the feed rollers for the second side that are “slipping” a bit.
If yes, I can’t think of anything else.
But in either case, perform a "thorough" maintenance of the printer and especially clean the rollers and feed mechanisms with alcohol.
Over time, paper deposits particles on all the paper feeders that can prevent them from working properly.
Talk to you later

If the answer helped you: a little thank you is nice. If it’s resolved: the green button at the top is better ;-)
Let him who has never opened a user manual throw the first mouse.

Hello
If only your machine is affected, have you tried reinstalling the drivers?
There is an option in the driver that allows you, outside of any program, to modify certain settings; see in Settings, Devices or through the Control Panel, in Printer Properties, then Preferences...
These settings take "priority" over the programs...
See you later

I have already reinstalled the HP software that allows the use of the printer, but I'm still having the same issue. I have also selected double-sided printing in the printer properties (control panel, properties, preferences...).
I saw online that there could be a position offset in "Y", or something like that. Would you know the procedure? Or other manipulations to perform?

Look at the bottom, the back, and the rollers on the paper bin side. Of course, do not touch the "electronic" part of the video ;-)
Yes, when I print double-sided, the two sides are misaligned. This only happens when printing from my computer (which is new). When my colleagues print from their computers, the print comes out fine with the same printer.
I can’t figure out what the problem is.
