Hello, Is it impossible to have WhatsApp on iPad without a smartphone, but with a MacBook and a basic phone?... I’ve been looking for a while and nothing is clear :-)

    Hello Dominique,

    Without a smartphone, you can’t really use WhatsApp. It is essential to activate your account and to allow synchronization with your other devices.

    Fortunately, there is a trick to use WhatsApp without a phone.

    Download Bluestacks on your computer (Windows and Mac). Access the Play Store via Bluestacks and sign in to your Google account. If you don’t have one, you can create one via this page by clicking on "Create account".

    Search for WhatsApp and install it. Then open the app and set up your account by following the on-screen steps. You will need to verify a one-time code by SMS to validate the creation of your account.

    Once your account is created, you can sync it with your iPad. In WhatsApp on your Mac, click the three vertical dots and go to Devices linked > Link a device. Then, using your computer’s camera, scan the QR code that appears on your iPad.
