Hello,
I have an EPSON SX 230 printer and when I want to print a document in duplex mode, for example, on A4 paper, the printer prints one page and then instead of taking a new page and printing again, it displays this error.
PAPER FEED ERROR
RELOAD PAPER
In English, it is
MULTI-PAGE FEED ERROR
RELOAD PAPER
I don’t know what to do. There is no help online. Perhaps you have the same problem. I’m reaching out to those who have EPSON SX printers because I can’t find a solution.
Maybe I should change the paper. Perhaps it’s the paper sensor but I don’t think that’s it.
How can I resolve this error?
Best regards,
Nils Belarbre.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 24.0

Hello,
I have an EPSON SX230 and by the way here’s a little video that might interest you one day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwbq_9DdlfU
This printer is not capable of printing in duplex mode. Although it is an option (BUG?) in the print properties window.
When I tried (just now) to print in duplex mode, by selecting this mode in the properties window, I received the same error message as you. But the printer did print all three pages (on three different sheets).
It is true that I was using FireFOX, but for the driver, it doesn’t matter: it’s the same with WORD.
Word probably displays an additional error message and stops the printing. The halt of printing by WORD is due to the error management coming from the driver. FireFox handles it differently....
Moving on.
One fact remains: the EPSON STYLUS SX230 does not print in duplex mode. If you want to do it: first print the even pages then put the paper back in the tray and print the odd pages (not necessarily in order).
If the duplex option is available for the SX230, it’s probably because the developers at EPSON used the same code (or interface) for all EPSON printers. However, some, like the PX820FWD that I also take care of, have the possibility to print in duplex mode (provided you have the optional duplex unit).
I hope my "explanations" are clear enough, and that they will help you.
Best regards to all, except for the little smooth talkers obsessed with the planned obsolescence of PEPS.

Planned obsolescence is the smoke screen that prevents us from finding solutions. -
Your explanations are very clear! What's surprising is that previously, I was able to print double-sided!
It would print the even pages, then the program (on the computer) would ask me to turn the pages over and put them back in the paper tray, and it would print the rest of the odd pages.
It's only now that I'm having this issue.
I encountered the problem and tried to update the driver, which I did since there was a new version; it updated the printer driver and firmware, and the problem remained the same.
That's why I found it strange.-
RE!
Indeed, if it was working before... that changes everything.
I admit I didn't try before today and today it wasn't working... A Windows or driver update must have messed everything up (?).
In any case, it seems like we have to deal with it... and I especially don't think I can help on this one. I'll pass the baton to the others. But I will follow the resolution of this issue from afar.
Best regards to all, except for the little excited ones about planned obsolescence... -

So, my problem is not resolved since I could do it before.
