importrange: You do not have permission to access this sheet Solved

Question

Hello,  I'm trying to connect several files using an importrange formula as seen on YouTube, but the file tells me that I do not have permission to access this sheet.  Both of these files are mine and are located in the same Google account.  The formula is as follows:  =IMPORTRANGE("URL";"ANNUEL!J1")  Could you help me and tell me why this is not working?  Thank you in advance.

Hello, If the original file is an Excel import, it won't work; just change the format from XLSX to Google format.   (File -> Save as Google Sheets)

Because your formula is fanciful! It's not what YouTube explained to you...  Look a little here: it's slightly more complicated! https://www.sheets-pratique.com/fr/fonctions/importrange -- It's nice, retirement! Especially in the Caribbean... Raymond (INSA, AFPA)

Hello I followed the link you provided above to use the IMPORTRANGE function, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work. I tried putting the source tab in the first position, but it failed. I also tried adding the source tab in the formula, but that failed as well. The error message says "You do not have permission to access this sheet." The two files I want to link are in the same DRIVE, in the same folder that I own and are not shared with anyone at the moment. Could you please help me understand?
