voice input on redmi note 9

Question

When I want to use voice input, I get this message  "permission not granted to enable voice input".....  What should I do?  Thank you, community  cc

Hello,
I had the same problem,
To see Gboard appear in the permissions,
You just need to click on a text field and click on the keyboard settings icon.
Once on this page, simply go to advanced settings and enable the option that indicates to show Gboard on the home screen.
After that, Gboard will appear in the list of permissions.

I had the same problem with a Xiaomi Redmi 9T
to make voice dictation work you need to:

1) have the Gboard app, it might be good to go on Google, type in Gboard, uninstall and reinstall Gboard, then turn off the phone, turn it back on, re-enter the PIN code
2) go to: settings, additional settings, language and input, current keyboard (choose Gboard)
and on "manage keyboards" enable Gboard and Google voice typing
3) then go to: settings, apps, permissions, permissions, microphone, there you need to allow the microphone for Google and Gboard

obviously with another Xiaomi than the 9T, the names will be a bit different but that's the principle

it should work!!! I spent 2 hours on this...

1- Slide down the notification panel
2- Click on the Settings icon
3- Privacy Protection
4- Microphone
5- Gboard
6- Check: Uncheck Don’t allow, choose:
Allow only if the app is in use
or Always ask
