Good evening, I am getting back to the forum, I can't take it anymore. I have searched everywhere and tested almost everything. As the title indicates, I have installed 2 RAM sticks: G.Skill Aegis F4-3200C16D-32GIS Memory Module 32 GB 2 x 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz. I can see that my PC has detected them, but it only uses 16 GB. I also see in my task manager that there are 16 GB usable and that I have 16 GB in "hardware reserved." I would like to know how I can have all of my RAM memory usable.
I have already tested the configuration with msconfig, but nothing has changed.

Hello,
check that your RAM sticks are properly connected, otherwise start the pc with one at a time to see if one is defective or if there's a defective slot.

Hello, I already tried that, it doesn't work either.
I understood that there is something to do in the BIOS, the 16GB of hardware reserved apparently are for the BIOS, but I can't adjust the memory through my BIOS, I haven't found it.
For your information, the motherboard is a Gigabyte B450 DS3H.

I have updated my BIOS, but I'm still facing the same issue: it detects my 30GB, but only 16GB is usable...
I also tried putting them on slots 3-4, but it didn't change anything.

that's not the answer I was expecting.

Test each stick individually to see if both work well when they are alone with all their capacity available.

Yeah, I really don't know how to modify this damn hardware reserve, it annoys me because it takes up 16GB.

be clear in your answers.
if the computer doesn't start with one stick, there is a problem with the sticks or the motherboard.

try each stick in each slot, and provide the result of each test.

I had tried slot 1, the screen stayed black but the computer was running. I thought that the computer couldn't run with just one stick of RAM (a mistake on my part apparently). I will try each slot with just one stick and I'll give you the results.

a PC turns on and works with a single stick
otherwise it's because the stick is defective.

But is there a setting to change in the BIOS for single channel or dual channel?
