Hello,
Cannot print in black and white with the empty color ink cartridge on my Canon MP140 printer.
Does anyone know how to do that?
Thank you very much

Hello,
Welcome to CCM.
Some printers refuse to print when a cartridge is empty; I don't know if that's the case with your model, I just wanted to pass on the information.
Otherwise, maybe try applying what is suggested in the following article, Printing a color document in black and white.
Best regards.

Hello.
For the Canon brand, if a color cartridge is empty, printing, even in black and white, will not start. For my model "Canon TR 7550," it is the same. For my old Epson SX 415, it was the same too. However, (15 years ago) for my Lexmark, it was possible.
After all, when you know how much money ink cartridges make, €30,000 per liter, everything is programmed to make printers block as soon as a cartridge is exhausted.
See you later...
