CCleaner installed does not appear in my Applications.

Good evening,
In Applications, I uninstalled my version of CCleaner to install the latest version.
The software was presented in a compressed format, so I extracted it. I used the various functions of CCleaner, but the new version of the software does not appear in the applications.
Searching in the downloads, I found that CCleaner is in this location

C:\Users\rosem\Desktop\Downloads\ccsetup576(2)

If this can be useful, I am attaching a screenshot of CCleaner.
How can I remove this compressed version and use CCleaner in the future?

    Hello
    You are not using an "Installed" version but a "local" one in its folder ccsetup576(2) which is located in the Downloads folder on your Desktop.
    Move this folder ccsetup576(2) to C:\Program Files, rename it to CCleaner (more friendly), open the CCleaner folder and right-click on the program (exe) and choose "Pin to Start Menu"

      Hello. I think you're mistaken. The file ccsetup576 is the installation file. It should only be run once. After that, there is a CCleaner directory either in "programs" or in "program files (x86)", and in this directory, there is a CCleaner file.
      I strongly recommend going into the explorer options and disabling "hide extensions for known file types." It's important to know whether a file is an application, a configuration file, etc...

      I provided the installation file just because that was all I had.
      Since the file only runs once, wouldn't it be simpler to do the same thing the next time I want to use CCleaner?

    The setup version of CCleaner doesn't come in a .zip archive.

    Only the Portable version is available, which you can place wherever you want and create your shortcuts wherever you want.

      Hi Pistouri.

      Since you're suggesting a version that installs, it would be better to offer the Slim version (without the toolbar)

      I've always used the portable version; once you know how, it's less of a hassle.

      You just need to extract over it to update.

      When the virus was in the CCleaner installer, I wasn't affected.

      Only TamaraLempicka's opinion will decide.
      The ideal is to have a portable version on a USB stick, as it won't clutter the PC in case of a low-capacity hard drive.

      I've never tested the Slim version (it's an exe application that installs unlike the portable version).
      Apparently, there are no traps (toolbars).
      Except for unchecking the options in the context menu.




      Ccleaner is not recommended given its checkered past regarding privacy.
      The default checked options are sufficient.
      Registry cleaning can sometimes do more harm than good; the option to create a backup is still offered in the form of a reg (.reg) file.
      Windows Disk Cleanup also performs cleaning, and for browser history, there is an option to do it upon closing.

      For the recent driver update option in Ccleaner, I don't know the outcome, whether it's positive or not.

    How to delete this compressed version


    You can put it in the recycle bin, as there is no installation with portable applications.

    In the future, go to the official Ccleaner site
    And save/download the latest official version

    Avoid the CCleaner registry cleaning.

    I am coming back very, very late on CCM. (moving in, work at my place) and I apologize.
    I had understood that CCleaner was more negative than anything else.
    My operating system is Windows 10.
    I haven't had Avast for a long time because CCM advised against using it and added that for my computer, Windows Defender was more than sufficient.
    I refuse cookies on websites and I avoid those that try to impose them on me. In addition, I clear the cache from time to time.
    I will regularly perform a disk cleanup.

    Now we just need to spread the word in the right direction!

    On some sites, there's no choice but to accept.
    Some sites abuse it to the point where privacy is no longer preserved.
    But all this is going to change if it isn't already in motion
    ==► why the RGPD consent boxes on your favorite sites have suddenly changed 
    If not, they risk being caught, as the CNIL has announced inspections.

    Browser extensions can help avoid them.
    For Firefox ----► I don't care about cookies
    Add an ad blocker of your choice except Adblock (ads are not filtered due to agreements between certain commercial sites).

    Cache, history, cookies 

    I clear the cache from time to time.

    Schedule the deletion in your browsers, and you won't have to think about it anymore.


    Soft cleaning
    Less aggressive than Ccleaner ==► Privacy Eraser


    Use it moderately for the "Registry" section.

    Thank you because in the Google Chrome settings, I found how to delete cookies and site data upon closing the browser.
    Since Google recommends not blocking all cookies, I didn't do it. But maybe I'm wrong and I should continue to refuse them on each site?
    I've just replaced Adblock Plus with uBlock Origin. Is there something better?
    I'll take care of Privacy Eraser.

      Your solution "I don’t care about cookies" is only available with Mozilla where I downloaded it. What do I do for Google Chrome, which I'm used to and find faster?
      I installed Privacy Drive, created it in the start menu as well, but even though I specified "chosen language French," everything is in English and for now, I don't know how to use it.

    Close and restart Google Chrome
    The message may appear for a fraction of a second, but disappears immediately.

    Privacy Drive -►encryption software for PC that uses virtual disk and "on-the-fly" disk encryption technology.
    It seems to be a trial version before a potential purchase.
    I don't think Privacy Drive has the language in French.
    In any case, there is only English with the portable version.
