How to finalize a already burned DVD

Hello,

A friend lent me a VCR that can copy old VHS tapes to a DVD.
Unfortunately, the remote control doesn't work, so I'm limited in my options.
On the front, in addition to the classic play, rewind, fast forward, eject, VHS or DVD selection buttons... there is a button for Duplication (the copying).
I start copying a tape to a DVD-R, which seems to go well. Then I can play the burned DVD (with the tape ejected, so it’s indeed the DVD I'm playing). However, I can't read it on my PC or Mac because it seems it hasn't been finalized.
I've tried a free utility like Express Burn from NCH Software, but I can't find a function to finalize a DVD that's already been burned.
How can I finalize it on my PC?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,

With IsoBuster you can access the content of a non-finalized DVD_VR to copy it to the hard drive.

Then you can either convert it to a standard DVD-Video or another form of video file with another program.

I believe the trial version is limited; indeed, the full version is paid.

I don't know any similar free software.

      Good evening, fabul.
      Thank you for the info.
Could you tell me a bit more, please?
IsoBuster allows you to read the video even if the DVD is not finalized, right?
But it doesn't allow you to finalize it? Because I would like to be able to send the file to my daughters so they can also view it.
      Thank you.

It's MPEG, you can rename the files to .mpg or .mpeg and use DVDVideoSoft Free video to DVD

(Although a DVD player normally recognizes .mpg .mpeg files)

    ok, I see.
Last question, I can only find paid IsoBuster. Is that logical?
    Thank you

    Great for all that.
    Thank you very much, fabul.
Could I ask for your help if I have a problem using IsoBuster?
    Thank you.

I don't know him well, but it seems to me from my memories that he detects duplicate files?

But you just have to drag one that contains the Audio-Video files.
