Hello,
I bought an ASUS DASH-TUF516PM-AZ066 laptop 6 days ago. It is sold without an OS, and I have been trying to install Windows 10 on it using a bootable USB drive that I created with the Microsoft tool. However, when I reach the step of choosing the disk to install it on, there is nothing, and the installer prompts me to load drivers. The laptop has a 512 GB Samsung MZVLQ512HBLU-00B00 SSD (info found in the BIOS) for which I cannot find these necessary drivers, and I don't think that's necessarily the solution because the SSD works in other situations that I will detail later.

On the Cdiscount page where I purchased the laptop, many comments mention this problem, but it seems that some have managed to proceed either with the driver or by initializing and partitioning the disk on another computer.

I just want to mention that the SSD is indeed visible in the BIOS (in UEFI), that secure boot and fast boot are disabled. I also updated the BIOS.

I have tried many things:

- using the Diskpart tool from Windows (available from the terminal accessible by clicking "repair your computer" instead of "Install")

- formatting, initializing and partitioning the disk on a friend's PC (in GPT format)

- we even copied the files from the bootable USB drive to the SSD which allows me to boot from the SSD (but still the same problem)

- then I booted with Ubuntu from a USB key and redid the partitioning work etc. with Gparted on the SSD, which works perfectly with Ubuntu.

- I installed Ubuntu on the SSD and was able to use it normally, with no problem with the SSD.

- I reformatted the SSD (thus removing the Ubuntu that I had installed on the SSD) from the Ubuntu USB key, and created a partition in Flat32 with the boot and esp flags, but still nothing.

That's where I am after 6 days of spending several hours a day trying to find a solution to my problem.

The customer service hasn’t been very helpful.

ASUS's customer service just sent me a solution out of nowhere and it works (and it's not for lack of trying to find it!)

It's a matter of a new data processing system on the 11th generation Intel processors, so you need Intel drivers and not the SSD manufacturer's drivers for it to be recognized because Windows does not take into account this new system.
