    Hello and welcome as a new member to CCM

    My response is that these cassette camcorders have been around for many years since their inception, and whether used little or left in a closet, their electronic and mechanical components inevitably oxidize. Digital cameras and smartphones have replaced these obsolete items, and it's a shame for those who haven't taken precautions to digitize their videos.
