Hello,
I can't open my iMac, I tried a guest session, it asks for a username and password but I don’t have it so it always boots into that session and gets stuck (photo attached)
Configuration: iPhone / Safari 14.0.3

Hello,
As Pierre Desproges might have said, "" Isn't it surprising! "...

The technocrats, if they were given the Sahara, in 5 years, they would have to buy sand elsewhere.

Hello,
First of all, an important reminder:
Why CCM does not help to find a password?
That being said, here is the only help we can provide: how to reset the user password, and it depends on the version of Mac OS X installed:
• Mac OS X 10.7 and later
• Mac OS X 10.6 and earlier versions without installation disc
• Mac OS X 10.6 and earlier versions with installation disc

It's crazy how many people ask for help and don't know how to say thank you.
Windows 10, Brave.

Hello,
Thank you for your response and your interest in solving my problem. I bought the iMac about 3 or 4 months ago on Rakuten, and it was working fine from the first use until last week. My son installed a game (Spore) and it was lagging, but he played occasionally. After a few hours, we ended the session, and when he wanted to play again, the PC was unresponsive. I tried switching to a guest account, but it asked me for a username and password!!! Normally there shouldn't be any, and I tried to create one but couldn't. Every time I restart, it always takes me to the login screen asking for a username and password!!!
I have tried several times with cmd + R, but nothing changes!
I hope I have detailed my situation well.
Thank you ????

Hello,
I suggest starting up in safe mode as explained here: https://support.apple.com/fr-fr/HT201262. Note that you need to press the "Shift" key right when starting the Mac and keep it held down until the desired effect occurs. You probably have a Mac with an INTEL processor.
During this safe mode startup, the Mac will repair any system elements that need it and will especially start up without any extensions that may have been installed intentionally or not on the Mac, which often eliminates startup issues.
Once the repairs are done, you should be able to log into your user session, at least I hope so!!
If that's the case, there's no need to stay in this startup mode: open the Apple menu () and click "Restart".
The Mac should then start up as usual and prompt you to log into your user session.
If that's not the case, then we'll try something else.
