My Facebook group has been stolen! What should I do?

Hello,

I have a professional page with several groups. My group containing almost 2000 members, where I am the sole administrator, no longer appears in my list of groups. So I did a search and realized that I am no longer in the group, neither with my professional page nor my account, and that there is an administrator I absolutely do not know! I tried to contact this person, but I don't know if they will see my message...

Is it possible for a group from a professional page to be taken over like this?? I don't seem to have any other issues, I still have access to my professional page, my account, and my other groups.. I reported the problem to Facebook, but I'm trying to find out if this has happened to anyone else?

    Hello,

    Reports of Facebook hacking are arriving here by the hundreds. Only Facebook can resolve them, and it takes weeks, even months.

      Yes, I suspect, but this is just a group; my accounts are intact, my other groups too. I looked it up on Google, and apparently, to "steal" a group, it requires an administrator's involvement, but I hadn't appointed anyone other than myself... It's very, very strange. I came here to see if anyone else had encountered this specific case because it's just a private group and not an account. Thank you.

    Group hacks are less frequent, but the procedures still depend on the provider.
