Hello everyone.
I need help because I'm desperate. I'm a student, and I'm currently taking all my classes online. But for the past week, my computer has been freezing.
I performed an update seven days ago. After that, my computer kept lagging. Then it gave me a gray screen with the taskbar flickering.
A message from NVIDIA Web helper.exe pops up saying that a certain entry point cannot be found.
I'm afraid it might be a virus.
If someone could help me, I absolutely need to use my computer for online classes; I can't afford to buy another one or get this one repaired.

Good evening Emilieb,
This kind of issue happens almost often to computer users - like mine used to. I will try to help you as much as possible to regain access to your PC.
STEP 1 - RESTART AND SAFE MODE
Before getting into the heart of the matter, try restarting your computer several times. If that doesn't work, try to go into Safe Mode and see if the problem is resolved. If not, move on to the next solution.
STEP 2 - REFRESHING THE SCREEN AND TOOLBAR
1) Without delay, if you manage to open the Task Manager, that's a good start for fixing your PC!
2) If you succeeded in opening the Task Manager, go to File > New Task and then type explorer (or explorer.exe - either one works).
3) After doing this action, if you see the box where it says,
check it.
4) Press the Enter key.
Normally your toolbar and screen should return to normal. If so, good news!
STEP 3 - UPDATE DRIVERS
If the problem is not resolved, try updating your drivers.
Hopefully your problem will be resolved as quickly as possible so you can keep up with your studies!
If you have any other questions, I would be happy to listen.
Sincerely,
Addaxow

Well, I tried to restart in safe mode, but it doesn't work. After the restart, I get a black screen and nothing else.
So I tried to access my session because I could still do it yesterday and I could access the task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+del, but I can't even access my session anymore. When I enter my code, I get a blue screen that stays for 1 second and then back to the lock screen.

Good evening Emilieboyl,
I think your problem comes from the PC's hardware and not from its operation. I read a discussion with cristali, whom I greet by the way, that you had attempted to connect an HDMI cable to the PC to see if it displayed on the TV. Apparently, it didn't work.
It seems that nothing was working. Did you spill water on it, or did the PC break somewhere?
If not, instead of risking dismantling your device, I advise you to see a technician to determine the source of the problem and, if possible, fix it.
I wish you a pleasant day and good luck with your studies!
Kindly,
Addaxow

Hello,
I also had this idea in mind but I didn't want to advise you to take such action and lose your data. Since you did it, on one hand, you gained access to your computer and on the other hand, you lost your data.
I am happy that you finally have access to your device.
Best of luck!
Warm regards,
Addaxow

Hello,
Try forcing the shutdown of the PC 3 to 5 times at minimum. As soon as you see the Windows logo, press the stop button several times while restarting until you reach the "automatic repair" window. Then, if automatic repair doesn't work, we can access a command line; if possible, type rstrui.exe to get to the restore point, and if necessary, select a point that worked before the day the PC crashed.

You should connect it via HDMI to a television.
Choose the channel on the TV to which the HDMI is connected using the TV remote; it's often the AV button.
Hold down the WINDOWS key on the laptop and press the P key one or more times until the image from the PC appears on the TV.
If you see the image on the TV, it's the laptop screen that's defective.
If you see the same thing on the TV, it's the laptop's graphics chip that is dead.
Oh dear, this doesn't smell good at all.
Do you know what could cause this? Could the graphics chip be dead? My computer is still quite new (1 year) and I've never had a problem before.
1 year, it might still be under warranty, so we'll see.
Before changing, you might want to try this or look for others for faster delivery.
