Hello,
I am considering replacing the "T" sockets with RJ45. Can someone tell me if this network is PTT 278 or 298? Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Android / SamsungBrowser 13.2

    Hello.

This is PTT 278 cable because it is untwisted and dedicated to telephony.

As such, it is not suitable for network data.

In your case, you would need to run Ethernet cable from your box or switch to the destination points.

      Hi,
No, it must be ptt298, the 278 doesn't usually have these colors.
However, it's too twisted at that point indeed and too long to strip, it needs to be shortened for Ethernet.

OK thanks. I'll give it a try and then I'll decide.

    Hello,
If it's to carry Ethernet signals, you will also need to plan for Ethernet wiring (patch panel with RJ45 sockets) at the other end of the cables.
