Good evening,
I decided yesterday around 5 PM to install Windows 10 on my desktop which is from 2016. I was on Windows 7 but I decided to switch to Windows 10 so I could use my Adobe suite software with their latest updates.
Since yesterday at 5 PM, the update has been stuck on the following messages:
-
Installing updates 30%
Do not turn off your PC. This process will take a while.
Your PC will restart several times.
-
My PC has never restarted nor shown any signs of life.
I don't know whether to wait or manually restart it, but I've seen on some forums that most people who chose to restart regret it strongly.
I have documents that I don’t want to lose on this computer, and I also don’t want to damage any components.

Hello. It's a serious mistake to install a new operating system without backing up all your documents.
Does the locked PC have access to the internet?
From another computer connected to the internet, create a live CD (or USB stick)

Backup ALL documents onto a USB drive and reinstall W10 from a USB stick.

And is it possible that by restarting it manually, no problems will arise afterwards?
You will have to force it to shut down.
