Boot issue after update Ubuntu 20.04 this weekend

Hello,
I installed UBUNTU 20.04 some time ago.
This weekend I installed the updates.
Since this installation, upon startup, UBUNTU no longer launches the graphical interface; I have a blinking cursor on a black background.
By pressing Ctrl+alt+F1 followed by CTRL+alt+F2, the graphical interface starts normally.
I installed boot-repair, ran it, but it didn't change anything.
I tried to modify GRUB with Grub customizer; I set it to an old default entry, the graphical interface started up fine but I couldn't log in.
I had to manually edit the grub boot file in terminal mode
to revert to Ubuntu with Linux 5.4.0-48-generic in default=
I had set it to Ubuntu with Linux 5.4.0-47-generic with grub customizer.

In short, I have a new version of Ubuntu running but it does not automatically launch in graphical mode.
It shouldn't be a big deal, but I need help.
Thank you for your responses.

Configuration: Linux / Chrome 85.0.4183.121

Hi,

Your installation seems normal for starting correctly if your BIOS is set to boot in UEFI by default. Your blinking dash may be due to it being set to first boot in Legacy and then in UEFI. So, the boot might be stuck due to the absence of an active partition. So try to check this point first before proceeding further.

Otherwise, we might need to look into a graphics driver issue and see if adding the "nomodeset" option resolves the problem temporarily.

PS. I see traces of Windows in NVram. If it still exists (on sda), it should no longer boot.
