Hello, my parents recently bought me a Samsung Galaxy J3 2016 as a new smartphone. It's not buggy, it's smooth, but the only problem is that I only have 8 GB of internal memory, and the phone is running Android 5.1 Lollipop.
I learned that starting from Android 6.0 Marshmallow, smartphones have the ability to transform the SD card into internal memory, which I can't do. I found out through several searches that the Galaxy J3 2016 does not offer an update to a newer version, but I learned that with a few manipulations, installations of stuff, etc., it could be upgraded to Android 6.0 or even Android 7.0 Nougat.
I was thinking: Why not upgrade my J3 2016 to Android 6.0, and that way, I could put my 32 GB SD card in it, which I would transform into internal memory, so I would have a Samsung Galaxy J3 2016 running Android 6.0 with 40 GB of memory.
What do you think of my idea? I've thought a lot about it. Do you think there are significant risks? Do you think it's a good idea? Or should I absolutely avoid doing this? I look forward to your responses.

Hello
Next, your J3 does not allow you to merge your internal memory and your microSD. Samsung does not permit this. Additionally, your J3 has 8 GB of internal memory, but this is a raw figure because once Android and the Samsung overlay plus apps are taken into account, you will realistically have about 4.3 GB left.
