Hello,
I can no longer scan documents with my printer. However, it is properly connected to my computer via a USB cable since it prints documents.
A week ago, I just needed to open the "Windows Fax and Scan" application and start a New Scan, and the scanned document would save directly to my "Scanned Documents" folder.
Now, the scanning process starts for a long time: the printer makes noise indicating "scanning in progress," but it never completes. Indeed, a first window titled "X Error" appears: "A problem has prevented the document from being scanned. Please try again, or for information on troubleshooting, consult Help and Support or the documentation provided with the scanner." Then a second window with a Danger panel "Windows Fax and Scan - The scan could not be completed."
I am desperately trying to find a solution. I uninstalled the HP ENVY 4500 printer and reinstalled it. Nothing works. Thank you very much for your help.
