Hello to the whole community,
Newly registered on this forum where I usually find my answers very often, I am now facing a wall.
My desktop computer won't start anymore. It freezes right from the start with the message "No keyboard detected" (see photo). My wired Logitech keyboard is connected via USB and has always worked well until today - This desktop is 10 years old and has always run smoothly. I have tried all available USB ports, changed the BIOS battery with a new one, waiting 5 minutes before putting it back, tried with another wired keyboard on the PS2 port, but nothing works, still the same result! This PC is running W10 with the latest updates. Thank you in advance for your feedback. Best regards. Mikaël

Hello,

I don't have a definitive solution to your problem, but I suggest a few tests:

First, you need to consider that the message "usb device over current status detected" means that an overcurrent has been detected on a USB device.

Moreover, it seems that you have two switches (hubs) connected.

I suggest that you disconnect these hubs as well as all other USB devices (except for the mouse, which seems to work) and if the problem persists, restart in safe mode:

This should allow you to reconnect your USB devices one by one (restarting in normal mode each time, of course) to identify the problematic device.

Normally, the absence of a keyboard should not prevent you from making the necessary choices and selections with the mouse.

In the second step, you could check that the USB keyboard option is enabled in the BIOS and that the keyboard is plugged into a USB 2 port (black ports).

Best regards
