Hello
I have a Xiaomi Mi 9 SE
However, every time I turn it on or try to open an application, I get an error message stating that the app launcher has stopped
I've tried restarting it and everything, but I can't get anything to work
If you could help me, that would be great
Aymeric

Hello Aymeric,
I'm exactly in the same situation as you since last night: "The application launcher keeps stopping." So it's impossible to launch an app or go to the desktop. I'm betting on a messed-up update. I have a Redmi Note 5, which is two years old.

In an emergency: I'm using Google Assistant to open the applications for me (at least the ones it recognizes). It's a stopgap.

Here's also the error report, if anyone is interested:

java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: No virtual method L()V in class Lmiui/external/Application; or its super classes (declaration of 'miui.external.Application' appears in /data/app/com.miui.home-1/base.apk)
at miui.external.ApplicationDelegate.onCreate(SourceFile:67)
at com.miui.home.launcher.LauncherApplication.onCreate(LauncherApplication.java:52)
at miui.external.Application.onCreate(Application.java:181)
at android.app.Instrumentation.callApplicationOnCreate(Instrumentation.java:1025)
at android.app.ActivityThread.handleBindApplication(ActivityThread.java:5526)

at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit.main(ZygoteInit.java:794)

I would have liked to give you my Android configuration, but for that, I would need access to the settings. Which I can't do because I can't access the application launcher (and thus the desktop).

I also add that my ROM was modified by the seller (I have never managed to install a clean one, unfortunately).
