OpenShot Video Editor - Audio issue on export

Hello everyone,

I recently got into video editing with this very practical tool called OpenShot Editor, on Windows 10. I can edit my videos easily; up to export, everything is perfect, the video and the audio in the preview are nickel.

No matter the format I choose, I still encounter problems with the mp4 file produced by the export (even at the highest quality - Blu-ray / HDCHV). Indeed, the audio crackles a lot on the parts of the videos where I kept the original sound (for the others, I set the volume to 0% and I don’t have any problems), and these audio segments overlay the background music I placed on another track (classic mp3 audio file). Once again, the problem appears on export; in the software’s internal preview I don’t have this problem. I thought it might be the computer I’m using, but the audio crackles no matter which device I play the video on.

Any idea what this could be from?

Thanks everyone for your help!

    Hello,

I had the same problem, I tried changing the export settings without success, finally what worked for me was to directly modify my OpenShot project by selecting in the properties of my audio tracks: "Audio Mixing => Average".

    Hello,
I’m encountering exactly the same problem... it sounds great on the source file, but once exported, crackling or crackling noises appear sporadically.
Really a shame, it makes the software a bit unusable... :(

Hello. Well, I’m experiencing exactly the same issue as you two: everything’s fine when I listen and preview, but after exporting the sound crackles… Has anyone found a solution?

    Thank you!
I’m not sure what this field “audio mixing” corresponds to, but it does indeed remove the crackles :)
