Hello,

I am going to buy a self-assembled PC, so it will not have any OS on it.
How much does Windows 10 weigh? If I get an SSD larger than what is required, can I use it to store other things besides Windows 10 or is it better to leave the OS alone on it?

Thank you.

    Hello,

Windows 10 requires a minimum of 64GB to be ample and worry-free (with updates, etc.).

However, we don’t just install Windows 10 on the SSD, but also all the software that will go with it.

Ideally, today we recommend a minimum of ~250GB on the SSD if you have additional storage (like a hard drive), otherwise opt for a larger capacity SSD if you won't be adding any other storage.

After all, it also depends on the usage...

      Thank you for your reply!
I actually have an extra HDD. Given that Windows won't take up all the space on my SSD, can I put other applications (games, various software) on this SSD before I start filling up the HDD, or would it be better to only put Win10 on the SSD?

As mentioned below, the SSD can hold Windows 10 and all installed software, except for games if the SSD has only a small capacity, as it may become full after 2-3 games.
