CD player for car USB port

Hello,
Connected to the USB port, 2 different CD players out of 3 in different cars are not recognized by the car's audio system. However, they work fine with my computer.
Does anyone have an idea of the cause?

    CD player in a car!? I didn't even know that was possible, and especially what's the use with USB keys...
    Surely the ports aren't made for that, you should check the car's manual or call the manufacturer.
