Hello everyone, I am unable to start Afterburner as I don't have access to any settings (fixed dial)
I would therefore like some clarification on this

Hello,
do you have an MSI graphics card (maybe a motherboard too, I can't remember)?

Otherwise, you need to use Riva Tuner Statistics Server and HWinfo (you need to launch Riva before HWinfo, the choice of what to display is made on HWinfo in the settings (gear icon) then in the OSD tab (RTSS))

No Intel motherboard and Nvidia GPU

Oh yes, I installed it at the same time as Afterburner!

the motherboard can't really be Intel, and the graphics card is indeed NVIDIA, but it’s not from a manufacturer?

give more info about your computer. if your computer is not from MSI or does not have a motherboard or graphics card from MSI, Afterburner will be useless for you

after launching Riva Tuner then HWInfo (in sensor only), go to the settings (gear icon) then to the OSD tab (RTSS) (if the tab is grayed out it means Riva is not running or you started HWInfo before Riva)

then in this tab you select the option you want to display and check "show value in OSD".

for example for FPS, launch a game, then in HWInfo scroll down and it should appear in the RTSS section "frame per second"

then you will find it in the OSD tab:

1- choose to display the information
2- choose to display the name, it will display "frames per second: 60fps" instead of just "60fps"
3- choose not to display the value, if you check this it will display "60" instead of "60fps"
4- choose if you want to display the current, minimum, maximum, or average value
5- choose the line on which you want to display the information, useful if you have several pieces of information so they don't overlap
6- choose the column on which you want to display the information, useful if you have several pieces of information so they don't overlap in the same column

I don’t use the rest of the settings.

then you need to go to Riva Tuner, you should have this window:

1- choose if you want to launch the software at the same time as Windows
2- choose if you want to display the information (FPS, etc...)
3- choose the graphical rendering of the information, in some games "vector 3D" and "raster 3D" can crash the game
4- choose how it aligns with the game graphic, depends on the games, if you see that the information does not display in the right place change this option
5- if you want to display shadows on the text, the 2nd option if you want to show a background on the text
6- choose the colors of your text
7- choose the size of your text
8- allows you to see what your settings look like, click on the corners to choose where you want to display the information
9- allows you to move the information to place it where you want
10- allows you to have multiple configurations based on the games.

if with all of this you still can’t do it ;)

MSI AFTERBURNER is software used to overclock MSI graphics cards only. It also allows you to display system information in-game.

What are you looking to do with this software?

MSI is a brand of computer components and laptops.

When the game does not allow it, the second way to display system information is the method I posted.
