Hello,
I'm posting here because I couldn't find any similar topic.
A few days ago, I bought an MSI GL62MVR 7RFX-1262XFR laptop (Intel Core i7 7700HQ and NVidia Geforce GTX 1060) and after installing everything necessary for gaming, I tested a few games.
I noticed that the laptop gets really hot after 15 minutes of gameplay, so I installed AfterBurner and it shows between 50 and 60°C for all components, but the keyboard/touchpad and even the bottom of the laptop feel super hot to the touch!
I know these are normal temperatures while gaming, but why does it feel so hot? My old laptop even reached 80°C without giving me the same sensation of overheating.
Does AfterBurner display the correct values or is it normal for the casing to be so hot on this model?
Thank you in advance and have a good evening,
Chdarro.

Hello,
the game displays the overheating logo, the fans are running at full speed and the keyboard is very hot.
I think you should check with your dealer, since you just bought it there shouldn't be a problem to have it checked and possibly exchanged,
there may be something blocking the ventilation openings or inside the cooling system...

Hello,
The feeling of heat depends on a huge number of factors...
Position of the components, airflow in the case, material that makes up the PC shell, etc.; -\

Thank you for your response, but it doesn't solve anything.
I just tested Rocket League (on minimum quality: "High Performance") and after 5 minutes of playing online, the game shows me the overheating logo, the fans are running at full speed, and the keyboard is super hot.
I launched AfterBurner which always shows me the same temperatures, and I don't see any problem anywhere.
I experienced pretty much the same thing earlier on The Witcher 2 and Outlast, which are normally far from being demanding.
I remind you that this is a new PC with an I7 7700hq and a geforce gtx 1060 6Go... There is definitely a problem somewhere, but how can I fix it??

what type of license did you purchase?
I just tested another game (Fortnite) at max quality, but this time it's installed on the HDD while Rocket League is on the M2 SSD. The PC heated up just as much, but not as quickly, and the fans were not as loud.
I've read that SSDs of this type tend to heat up quite a bit; if that's the issue, could it be that customer service won't do anything and just send the PC back without any changes?
I'll move Rocket League to the HDD when I have time to see if that's the problem.
