Hello, I have an old recovered computer from Dell, Optiplex 7010. When I turn it on, it says /: the system startup tool is searching for problems on your system // the search takes a long time, and then it indicates // that Windows cannot automatically repair this computer // after which it shuts down.

Hello
If the PC is a few years old, you may find it difficult to locate the proper drivers for W10
So before installing W10, make sure you can find the drivers

Hi
What OS was the PC initially running/when you got it ((W7 or W10)?
See you later

re
it's good, I deleted it for you :)
I hadn't tested it before, and I wasn't sure I could do the manipulation
PS: you should have received an email to notify you of the deletion of your message
let me know if that's the case

Hello
the message states that no problems were found, and asks if you want to run the memory test diagnostic again (click no)
you need to download a Windows 10 ISO image and install it on your hard drive
PS: you must choose the same image that was previously installed on your PC (W10 Home/Pro)
if you have any questions...

Hello, I tried to download the ISO image, so I enter the product key of my computer, but it refuses me, it writes /// the product key you entered seems to be intended for software preinstalled by the device manufacturer, contact the manufacturer, and yes, it's very complicated, thank you for your patience again.
Hi Martin,
As this is a micro tour, the operating system must be noted on a label.
In case you don't see it, check with your son-in-law (who I think will be able to tell you which OS was last installed on this PC).
PS: Ask him if the PC was 32 or 64 bits, but since it's a company PC, I think it is 64 bits.
@ AluMinioume
I don't see the point of installing Windows 7 at this time.
If the PC was running W7, I recommend installing the same OS to upgrade to W10 later.
Martin won't need a license key to upgrade to W10; the W7 license key will "do" the job.
I upgraded my W7 to W10 last weekend, and everything is OK.
I did the updates, and I have version 1909.

The radiation level is higher at the employment center than at Chernobyl.
It's written W7 pro OA
Okay, and is it not specified whether the PC is 32 or 64 bits?
P.S.: when you enter the license key on this page >> https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows7
it should offer you the right version of W7 (32 or 64 bits)

Hello,
You were supposed to have an OEM version, which is causing this error message.
You can download Windows 7 PRO here: https://www.sosvirus.net/telecharger/windows-7-professional-iso-64-bit/
Then, you will need to create a bootable USB drive using Rufus: https://rufus.ie/
Windows 7 will soon be obsolete, so you should upgrade to Windows 10 quickly. It is still free.
Your PC is also compatible with Linux distributions. All drivers would be recognized out of the box. It's an interesting alternative. Linux Mint Cinnamon is very easy to use.

I encourage you to test it with a live USB to get an idea. It won't install anything on your hard drive.

Hi
it's getting complicated...
I think it would be better if you buy a Windows 10 license
then you will download a Windows 10 ISO image to install it

Good evening, I found a hard drive on Amazon for €49.99. Here are the specifications ///Crucial CT250MX500SSD1(Z) internal SSD MX500 (250GB, 3D NAND, SATA, 2.5 inches) // thank you very much for your help. After that, I will need your help to install W10 on this disk. Best regards.

No, a new hard drive means reinstalling Windows.
The BIOS has nothing to do with the hard drive; it is stored in the EEPROM of the motherboard.
