Keyboard not detected by BIOS

Good evening,

I have a problem with my BIOS since I tried to enable the "fast boot" option; my motherboard no longer boots from my SSD. Additionally, I cannot access the BIOS with my keyboard as it is not detected. I have tried using two different keyboards on all possible USB ports, both front and back, but nothing works. I also tried removing the battery from the motherboard to reset the BIOS, but that didn't work either. If you have a solution, I would appreciate it, and thank you in advance.

Sincerely, Legendre Tristan

Hi,
Enabling Fast Boot can make the time to access the BIOS extremely short. So you have to be very quick at startup for the request to be taken into account.

Are you sure your Clear CMOS worked?
For that, unplug the PC from the mains (or turn off the power supply, it's the same), remove the battery. Then press the power button on the PC for 30 seconds. Wait for 2 minutes, then replace the battery. Reconnect the PC afterwards.
And then you can be sure that your Clear CMOS worked.

After a Clear CMOS, the BIOS loads the default settings, and normally in this case, Fast Boot should be disabled.

You can also try the pause key during startup; it should pause the POST and maybe allow you to enter the BIOS.

Otherwise, another solution is to disconnect the peripherals from which the BIOS might boot. This might then redirect you straight to the BIOS or give you access to it.

Thank you very much for your reply. After removing the battery a second time, the BIOS reset itself and I didn't have any problems after that. I think the first time I had left the battery in contact with the motherboard, which meant the BIOS was still powered.
