On Mail, issue moving a message

Hello,
I upgraded to Catalina.
No particular issues except with my Mail app.
When I try to move a Gmail message (only on these accounts), it no longer gets deleted from the inbox (whereas before, on Mojave, this worked without issue).
I receive all my messages in the inbox. When I read them, I move them to an archive folder on my Mac.
They seemingly disappear from the inbox but systematically return after a while. I no longer know which messages I have processed????
I checked my Mail settings as well as my Gmail settings and found nothing.
Can anyone help me?

I have a similar problem.
I have blocked emails in the outbox but my folders are in IMAP unlike a local archive.
On my end, Mail is processing several hundred emails waiting to be moved and they are not being moved.
500mb fiber and Mac mini 2019 i7 16gb and over 400gb free.
No request for deletion on my side.
A "sorting" is done by Mail which loses emails from the last 3 months. And every day it deletes new emails after a few days.
Emails in IMAP everywhere, no POP and no possible hacking (rotating password).
If you have any insights, I'm all ears.
