Hello, I have an HP laptop with Windows 10 and several times I cannot turn it off. It tells me "Preparing Windows, please do not turn off your computer" and this lasts for hours. I have to remove the battery. Thank you for your help.

Surely the installation of updates following a Windows restart (you shouldn’t just turn it off randomly) you will damage it.
The enemy is stupid: he thinks we are the enemy when it is actually him!

I will do what you told me. Right now I'm using the tablet; I will turn on my computer. I can use it, but when I shut it down using the mouse, the screen shows "Preparing Windows," so it will do it on its own. Because last time, 12 hours later, it was the same. Thank you, I'll keep you updated.
