Hello,
I recently changed my ISP and had to reinstall my printer.
However, I was able to reinstall the printer and set it up with a USB cable, but I cannot switch from USB connection mode to a wireless connection.
I have tested several solutions found online and on the manufacturer's website, but none have worked! "Unable to install the printer on the network," is the recurring error message I keep receiving. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software X times, but nothing works.
I don't understand where the problem lies.
The scan doctor assistant offers solutions that I have all tested, and again, nothing at all.
Is there a kind and competent soul who can help me?

Hello,
Is the printer's driver/software suite installed on the PC?
Windows, which one?
32 or 64 bits?

  Yes, the suite is installed, and the drivers are up to date. I am on Windows 10.
  I have tried one more time by disabling the antivirus and the firewall, but to no avail.

Is your topic still relevant?
Because I had exactly the same problem and found a way to solve it:

  I carried out the manipulations with the WPS but unfortunately this time it didn't work.
  I remember that it had been effective once but not this time :-(. There must be steps to follow but after doing and redoing, it's easy to get lost!

Have you tried to configure the wifi from the printer’s control panel?
There should normally be an icon to activate the connection.

  Oops. I didn't see your response because I didn't receive the notification and yet it’s been a while! I'm sorry. I did what was recommended in the link you sent me. I also uninstalled and reinstalled... it still doesn't work on Wi-Fi and yet the light is fixed.

  Yes, I just checked, it's indeed that driver. What I don't understand is that this issue has already happened to me; after doing various manipulations, sometimes it works again and the WIFI installation is fine, then a few days later, it stops working again :-(.

  Perhaps, despite the drivers being up to date, you could try this one, Wireless%20LAN_Atheros_10.0.0.263_W81x64_A.zip.

    While wishing to install the driver you provided the link for, I just realized that it was installed on my PC on December 15, 2015. So.......

    Well, it's still impossible! I think my printer isn't even recognized by the network anymore... not surprisingly, given the number of manipulations I've done!

    Indeed, when technology works well, we often don’t notice it too much, but on the day when everything doesn’t go as we want, it can be a hassle!

Hello Melusine18,
After everything that has been attempted regarding the wifi connection, it might be interesting to see how the PC would behave by changing the card.

For around ten € you can find one, and at this price, trying it out wouldn't cost a fortune, especially if the result is there at the end!
Opening the PC to remove the card would also allow you to check its connection to the motherboard first!
If it were my PC, I would act this way.

  According to what I understand, the problem does not come from the PC but from the printer that won’t connect to the new modem.
  This solution would therefore be useless in my eyes.

  From what I read in the previous exchanges, this printer installs without issues on her daughter's PC, which implies that the printer might not be to blame!

  Hello to both of you.
  It seems to me that there is indeed a compatibility issue between the printer and the PC. The problem is that I can't completely remove the installation program in order to reinstall it properly. There are always some remnants left. I had asked how to permanently delete it, but I didn't get any answers.
  I had already encountered this Wi-Fi issue, and the WPS method had worked until a Windows update disrupted this fragile balance :-).
  I'm not going to risk changing the card because I don't know how to do that. Messing around with the heart of a PC is not within my skill set. And taking it to a repair shop would be expensive given the labor costs. :-( with no certainty of results.
  I'm going to try again with WPS; according to the help link that Citro114 sent me, it can sometimes be useful to do it several times.

  Hello, I had the same problem as you. I went to the control panel, printers and devices, printer properties, ports, and checked that it is indeed the printer's IP address that is set and not a WSD port.

  Great job on Oliver's last comment, it's working beautifully now, you just need to add a TCP/IP port by entering the printer's IP address and it works like a charm.
  
  Make sure to deselect WSD, that stuff is really bad lol.
