USB Controllers: Unknown Device

Question

Hello,  Following I don't know what "manipulation" (maybe the attempt to use a wired mouse), Windows at startup informs me that a driver is not installed correctly.  Through the device manager, I disable and then uninstall this Unknown Device but no matter what, every time I start the PC, Windows tells me that a driver is not installed correctly.  What to do?  Thank you for your help and have a good Sunday Michel    Configuration: Windows / Firefox 66.0

Hello,  Give the hardware identification number of the Unknown Device Look at this --> Find a device identification number Post the number in your next message.  What's the brand and the exact model number of the PC?  Windows 7, 8 or 10 and in 32 or 64 bits?

Right-click on the device Uninstall  Click on --> Action Scan for hardware changes.

Chef, Yes, Chef 5 Smile ) and nothing worked  I now also have the additional problem that the PC won’t come out of sleep mode!!!

The Windows 7 repair didn't change anything except that it created a mess for me.

Unplug the wall charger Remove the battery Press and hold the power button for about 40 seconds Reinsert the battery Plug the charger back into the wall Start the PC.   -- The human being is at its best when things are at their worst.
