Unable to access the page 192.168.10.253

Hello,

I can't access the page 192.168.10.253 to secure my properly connected digital repeater; the page shows "connection failed" despite attempts on different devices (tablet, smartphone, notebook). So the connection is not secure and "open". How can I secure my connection? Is it just a page overload?
Thank you for being kind enough to help a poor little thing!

I just acquired the same repeater and I have the same message as you... so how do I get the correct address...

    Hi,
what makes you think this address is the right one?
please paste the result of the ipconfig/all command here, see the output file in the link.

It's what's written in the instructions! I wouldn't have dared to make it up.

        yes,
but you are connected to your box now, not to the repeater....
so this address is no longer valid, you need to be connected to the repeater only for that.

I succeeded... first, after plugging the repeater into the power outlet near the router, press the WPS button on the repeater, then on the router for 1 second. Then you can connect to this address... which is not mentioned in the manual... and only after doing this can you follow the given instructions. For my part, it worked...

It must not be the WPS that allows you to connect to this address, but anyway, since it works for you, that's great.

I solved the problem by creating a new private connection through Windows (in the control panel), which secures the connection of this router with the same WEP key as your regular connection, because this repeater works even without having accessed their so-called problematic page. The only thing to do is to secure this connection, so through Windows with the WEP key... hoping that your regular internet connection is well secured and that you have the WEP key handy!

Hello. Thank you for your quick response. I will give it a try but I don't know the procedure for that... I will look into it...

A bit worrying as a response...
not to be followed blindly at the outset.

        It is given above.
Since it was rather a question, I am renewing it for you, although you should make your request in a new discussion.

except that, after checking with a detector, it clearly shows that the connection is protected!!!

      A detector of what?
      That's not the initial question...
