Hello,
I am having problems with the Mozilla, Vivaldi, and Edge browsers.
But before I tell you what the problems are, I will explain how I got to them.
Actually, I wanted to have the Windows file explorer in dark mode to stop straining my eyes at night. I saw that dark mode was only available in version 1809. I can't remember exactly, but I think I had version 1803. So I downloaded 1809 and installed it, and dark mode works.
I decided to launch Resident Evil 2 Remake, which had previously been working perfectly, but now, at startup, it shows a black screen and then closes. I tried another game and everything works fine. I intuitively thought there was a problem with Capcom games, so I launched RE6 and it doesn't open either, showing an error message. I don't remember it exactly, but it basically said that a kind of "file" was missing. I researched, and it turns out that this "file" was the Windows Media Player pack (which must have been removed with the 1809 update, but who knows with Microsoft!!!). So I downloaded WMP for W10 64bit version 1809, installed it, restarted the computer, and my games work again.
Except now when I go on Firefox, on most pages it shows me this:
I tried updating Adobe Flash Player, launching Mozilla in safe mode, repairing Mozilla, uninstalling it completely and reinstalling it, but nothing worked.
I then decided to test Edge, but it doesn't play certain videos.
I downloaded Vivaldi, and it also doesn't play certain videos.
So I am completely lost. I don't know how to solve these problems.
I want to point out that I have disabled system recovery; I am not one to turn back when I encounter a problem; I prefer to solve it rather than avoid it.
Thank you in advance for your help.
