Ink pad issue with EPSON XP530 Solved

Who can give me the solution regarding the replacement of ink pads that can only be done at an EPSON center? Is there any other possibility since there are only a few of these centers and it's quite lucky if you have one near your home. I am 200 km away from the nearest one. The pads are not available for sale, they are not removable, and my 2-year-old printer is blocked... I would prefer to avoid the dump.

If you haven't found other solutions, I suggest you try WIC Reset Utility >> Here, taking the Free version that allowed solving a similar problem >> Here >> See comment #10

Hello,
It's not a matter of resetting the counter; Epson blocks it because the ink pads are full. They give us the option to replace the old pads with new ones, as long as we bring the printer to one of their centers. But there are only a few of these centers in France. I would have to make 4 trips of 200 km.... I spoke to an Epson technician, as friendly as a prison door (in Spain), who took note of my complaint but nothing more... It would simply be enough if they could send us a label, but I guess that’s too much to ask.... Thank you for trying to help me. Regards. (12/06/2018)

Sometimes, and quite often, resetting the ink counter can unblock the printer!
But if you really want to change the pads, you either have to send the printer to Epson as mentioned above or find a dealer... but that's a different story >> Maybe take a look >> This link which seems to provide spare parts?? ...

Thank you for the site "Allpages Epson Photo Expert"; I contacted this center. I spoke with "Pascal" who was supposed to check with EPSON to provide me with a label. But I think it fell through (no news) - I’ve understood: no more Epson for me - I have friends who don’t have this kind of problem with Canon....

Maybe Pascal will call you back ?? Otherwise, give him a little nudge to refresh his memory ....
As far as I’m concerned, Epson and CANON have been banned for years .... I’ve opted for Brother for 7 years and have had no issues with this printer using brand cartridges.

Yes, I was thinking of refreshing "Pascal"'s memory - I had an Epson technician in Spain who is "taking care of my case" but there's not much hope there either... he will call back. I think we shouldn't count on manufacturers who only have one thing in mind, creating equipment for a limited duration. Minimum lifespan for maximum consumption. Thank you for the info regarding Canon... I will think about it.

Hello;  Latest cartridge >> See this link ... Or this one I looked through but didn't find any ink pads for Epson XP 530 ...but maybe I missed it ?? In my opinion, it must be quite tricky to replace which is why a technician might be necessary ?? You didn't say if you simply tried to reset the ink counter which in many cases unlocks the printer without having to change the pads .... Thank you for the feedback .... it's a pleasure to search and lend a hand as far as I'm concerned .... so no worries.

I think the tour of the house is done now and that the only solution is indeed to return to Epson if the printer is worth it in order to empty the cartridges in stock ...
