Unable to connect to the user account

Hello,
Since this morning I no longer have access to my user account on my iMac 25 (Mojave).
After starting up, when I type my password to access my account, the machine runs for 20 seconds and displays the following message:

"You cannot log into the user account "Pascal" at the moment" and below "The account login has failed due to an error".
I have another iMac running El Capitan and everything is working perfectly.

Initially, I tried the password reset procedure using my Apple ID. It didn't change anything, and the original password is still requested.

I tried starting in safe mode. Same problem.

I ran disk checks by starting with Disk Utility. No errors were detected in this regard.

I performed a complete reinstallation of Mojave from the Internet, but the problem is still the same.

Is this a known issue? At this stage, I am reaching the limits of my Mac OS capabilities...

Help!!!

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Best regards
Pascal.

    Good evening,

    Maybe a Mojave bug!
If you installed it via an update from a previous OS, without being very "tech-savvy" on Mac, it's not prudent; you should always wait for the first updates. Apple copies, a bit too much, the neighbor's methods, leaving users to test its new OS, which aren't quite ready.
That's just my humble opinion ;-)

    Hello.

dede74000, thank you for your feedback.

I don't think this is related to the Mojave update. I've noticed that my second hard drive is no longer accessible. The S.O.S test says everything is okay, but when I try to erase the data and reformat, the process always ends with:
"Unable to write to the last block of the device. The operation failed..."
It seems that the disk is dead... It hasn't even been 2 and a half years, which is a bit short for a lifespan considering the price of the machine.
I do have 3 and 4 GB disks available, but I'm not comfortable opening the 27-inch iMac. I would have changed it without any problem on a PC, but with Apple, everything seems designed to make you pay every time there's an issue... It's a bit frustrating.

I will open a new post to see if anyone has had the message "Unable to write to the last block of the device" and if the disk is indeed dead...
    Thank you.
    Best regards
    Pascal.
