Phone reset for no reason

Hello,

My Samsung Galaxy Note III reset itself two days ago, and that for no reason: updates done, memory not full... I believe a virus could explain this, but I don’t see how it could have landed on my phone.

    Hello,

    The reset can occur if the phone is set up to do so after X unsuccessful unlocking attempts.

      Well, I wrote everything except the most important part, which is my question: I wanted to know how to retrieve a possible backup of my data before the "reset."

      I don't think it's possible unfortunately. Try to ask a specialist anyway, you never know.

      Hello, on my S22 Ultra (backed up to Google Drive AND Samsung Cloud), last night it factory reset itself while I was writing a WhatsApp message. When I tried to reconfigure it, all my backups from both Samsung and Google disappeared completely... I also think it might be a virus?
