Hello,

I am working on SketchUp Make 2017. Here is my problem: I have made components and grouped them to create a set of components, however my project has changed and I want to revert to my unique components. Is there a way to separate my unique components from the grouped components? But I do not want to redo my drawing to reposition my unique components.

Thank you in advance for your solutions.

    Hello,

your question is far from clear: did you create components that you grouped and now wish to separate?

to clarify your question, please use the correct terms: in SketchUp you can create groups and/or components.

    See you!

I created components and made a main component. With the main component, I used "edit component" to add the components, and now I want to remove those added components without redrawing everything.

But I just realized my mistake; I'll have to go and modify all my components again.

      Thank you.

Once again, it is about a component...

If it is about removing components that are within a component, here is the solution:

        1. Enter your component
        2. Select the components you want to remove
        3. Ctrl+X (Cmd+X on mac OS) or Edit > Cut
        4. Exit your component then Edit > Paste in place
