Epson Printer: Clogged Nozzle
Solved

I have an Epson XP-205 printer, 3 color cartridges, and one black cartridge.
Since the last replacement of the black cartridge, the black no longer prints, while the other colors print well. I replaced the black cartridge again thinking it was defective, but it doesn't print either, and trying a 3rd cartridge had the same result, so the cartridge doesn't seem to be the issue.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this problem and how to fix it?
I have the impression that something is clogged somewhere, but where and how can I access it?
Thank you all, your advice would be welcome.

Hello.
How's the test page looking?
Personally, for a clogged nozzle (which has happened to me only once), I prefer manual cleaning.
A syringe, a piece of flexible tubing the size of the nozzle, and deionized water. After two manual cleanings 24 hours apart, including drying, the prints are operational again. And above all... ink saving because Epson is greedy with ink for cleaning!
This is just a suggestion... Cheers

It's no use running; you have to start on time. . .

Are the compatible cartridges to blame? It's a shame, I thought I was making a good deal since they are much more capacitive and a lot cheaper, but I will go back to Epson.
Your advice was very helpful, I'm really happy and I thank you for that.

>>> Are the compatible cartridges to blame? <<<
Yes, absolutely! I've had an Epson SX 415 since 2011. After a few original Epson cartridges, which I found a bit expensive myself, I installed some compatibles. 2/3 packs later, the troubles began. The photos had stripes and even simple text and image documents, some cartridges were not recognized, and finally, the nozzles got clogged. After that famous manual cleaning of the nozzles, a piece of advice given by a pro from a Prink store, I got my machine back to operation. But since then, I only use original cartridges, which are indeed more expensive but at least my photos look good and the colors remain fresh after several years. I buy my cartridges at Bureau Vallée, much cheaper than at Leclerc (for example).
Have a nice day . . .
