Hello
I would like to clean the nozzles of my printer because it won't print black anymore, but my computer does not recognize my printer and does not offer the "utility" file that allows for cleaning. How can I access this file?
Thank you for responding as soon as possible; it's very urgent!
Thank you in advance

It's not the nozzles that need to be cleaned. It's the print heads that need to be cleaned if you have this type of printer. My Epson Stylus Color 670 has print heads. The ink cartridges only have one nozzle.
I bought a cartridge refill kit and there was a bottle of solvent included in the kit.
I removed the cartridges from the printer and placed a sheet of paper under the print heads (where the sheets normally pass through). I drew some solvent from the bottle using the syringe provided in the kit and I squirted it on the print heads of the printer.
I waited a minute or two (the dried ink on the heads needs to dissolve, but the solvent shouldn't evaporate). Then, you need to wipe gently with cotton swabs.
Put the cartridges back in place and then create a moiré page with Mac Paint and print it.
It's easier to unclog the print heads with a moiré pattern than with text.
I did it two or three times and with patience and surgical gloves, I succeeded.
If you refill the empty cartridges, they work better if you let them rest on their side for 20 minutes before putting them back in the printer. Sometimes they only start working the next day.
But the nozzles of the cartridges wear out, and I've only managed to refill them twice. That's three times their lifespan for a third of the price.
