Good evening, the keyboard of my Asus Eeebook X205TA laptop suddenly became inactive.
A restart is not effective, and partial or complete restoration is not possible, as we cannot enter the password. How can I get out of this predicament?
Just before this incident, I was trying to restore the sound that was not working (the BIOS setup does not allow us to check if the sound is active on the PC).
Thank you very much in advance for your help,

Hello,

Probably a failure of the Asus driver allowing keyboard recognition.
The solution: use a USB keyboard and reinstall the corresponding ASUS driver.

Hello thev, after receiving your message, for which I thank you, I suddenly had a doubt:
I therefore asked to revert to the previous version of Windows Update, restarted my PC when prompted and oh miracle, the keyboard is back.
It is absolutely necessary to warn Asus EeeBook owners against upgrading to the latest version (1803) or risk losing the keyboard.
I still have the independent issue of the sound, which is problematic; it indicates 'No audio output device is installed' whereas I have correctly installed the Realtek audio driver.
with new thanks for your help,
best regards,
