ASUS EeeBook X205TA keyboard and touchpad not working Solved

Question

Hello, After an update, the keyboard of my ASUS EeeBook X205TA laptop no longer works, nor does my touchpad. By connecting an external mouse, I can move the cursor on the screen but can't type anything, not even my password to enter my system, and connecting an external keyboard doesn't work either. So I'm stuck on the password page and it's terrible! If anyone can help me, I would be eternally grateful!?!

You're on the PC.. get out quickly ;-) So seriously, you need to go to the Device Manager (right-click in the bottom left corner and then "Device Manager".. in the list that appears, let me know if you see an exclamation mark or question mark or a yellow color symbol.. thank you -- Don't forget to mark your post as "resolved" once the issue is fixed. Hello, and thank you for responding! It was a Windows 8 that was supposed to upgrade to 10. I might have waited too long to do the update, I don't know... So since the update didn't work, I assume it's still a Windows 8?

Turn on your ebook, once you get to the window where you enter your password, look at the bottom left where there is a dotted circle, click on it and click on "virtual keyboard" A keyboard should appear (normally) there you will be able to enter your password -- Don't forget to mark your post as "resolved" once the issue is fixed. I can currently click with my external mouse connected to the laptop, but neither the touchpad nor the keyboard work. :(

I'm really deep into it! A list indeed appears (Battery/Bluetooth/SD host card/etc...), but there are neither yellow symbols nor exclamation or question marks.

Well, since the PC starts: go to the menu where all the programs are located and search for "settings" click on "settings" click on "updates and security" If there are any updates, let them install and restart if the PC prompts you (now you already know how to enter the password) -- Don't forget to mark your post as "resolved" once the issue is fixed.
