Hello,

A few years ago, I bought this PC in a store for accounting purposes, but also to make videos for my profession. I clearly specified the usage to the seller. I didn't use the PC immediately, but after a month of use, I found it to be particularly slow. The seller then told me it wasn't powerful enough for my needs and that I needed to change how I used the PC...
But after another month, I got a virus, and I sought help online. I learned that my PC contained hidden files from before my purchase and that it was nearly unusable. I was still able to get some help, but I had to abandon it for my professional use due to too much risk of losing my accounting and video files...
Today, I decided to reset it, and to do that, I went to the ACER website. An advisor told me to use alt+F10, which I did. Problem: the PC won't turn back on! I've tried everything, all possible modes, but it wants to start windows and launch the installation program, but an error message blocks the process, and the PC is unable to restart on its own; I have to do it manually.
Worse: even if I wanted to give up, the PC won't turn off... So I have a PC that I can't reset, can't turn on, nor turn off.
Please, I'm a novice, I just wanted to give this computer a second chance; can someone help me?
Thank you in advance!

    Hi,

Which version of Windows is being used?

Is it possible to reinstall the system without going through recovery by inserting the Windows CD directly into the drive and performing a complete installation by formatting the hard drive entirely?

Do you have the Windows CD handy or a recovery DVD?

Hello, and thank you for the response

No, I don't have the CDs, the reset has been done, but now the computer won't boot up, I get an error message at startup.

The best option is to find a Windows 7 ISO, either 32 or 64 bits (the same version that you have on your PC), and to perform the installation manually.

      Check here.

Hello, I can't find a version of Windows 7 that matches my computer on the different links on the page. Should I try something else?
Now, here's a silly question since my computer won't turn on anymore: how do I know if it's 32 or 64? Thank you.

Hello and thank you for your response.
I reset the PC again, and this time, to fix the issues with Windows (because there were plenty), I got help from Microsoft.
The PC is functional and like new!
Thank you very much for everything!
