Good evening,
I have a major black screen problem on my Acer ASPIRE 573ZG
The computer seems to start normally but the screen remains hopelessly black.
What I tried:
  • connect to an external screen via HDMI > no signal
  • connect via VGA > same
  • remove and reinsert the RAM sticks.
  • test the sticks one by one
  • test with another stick
  • not using RAM

result .... nothing, still the same, the PC seems to start normally (all lights on), no beep or particular noise
  • press F8 at startup

... nothing
  • remove the HDD and test it on another PC > it is readable
  • dismantle the PC to check if the display panel is properly connected > no connection problem.
  • the drive works at least it opens when requested.

What do you think?
graphics card faulty?
motherboard faulty?
How to verify?
Is there something to do?

Configuration: WINDOWS 7

For around thirty euros you can find USB external graphics cards, this will let you test and you’ll know if it’s your card; the motherboard could also be the reason...

Thank you for this information. Is this external map easily accessible?
