Open my Gmail inbox on my computer...

During a stay abroad, I opened a Gmail account on my iPad. Now, back home, I want to use this new account on my computer (Mac). I can't create or transfer my Gmail account to my computer... I'm being asked for my password which... I've forgotten (yes, I know, I should have written it down...). When I click on "forgot password," I'm sent a verification code but then I'm told that no Gmail account is known for my address ***@***.
I have been trying for 3 hours now and grrr my morale is dropping and my self-confidence is getting low! Please help me!

Mac doesn't block competitors? It's possible that we can access Gmail only through a browser....

. (Actually, I didn't understand the text lol)

Transfer = ??? Was it used by an Android? Did you register a recovery email?
