Why don't I have GIFs on Instagram?

Hello, I'm following up on the topic. I have an account from 2010-2011, and like everyone else, I still don't have the gifs and polls with emojis. I didn't care much, but what's bothering me more recently is that I don't have the option to repost a post or a story in my story... however, I have the recent options like IGTV. I don't understand. Any updates from someone here who has had this resolved?

I have exactly the same problem, and a friend told me that Snapchat and Instagram ended their contract with Giphy due to a racist GIF. Hello, I have exactly the same problem. I can't access the GIFs to add to my Story. I have an iPhone 6, I'm on iOS version 11.2.6, and I also have the latest version of Instagram. Does anyone have an explanation/solution? Thank you in advance! :)

I have exactly the same problem!!! It’s frustrating.
I can’t send a message to Instagram about this. I have an iPhone 7 with the latest update and I thought I was the only one without gifs.
However, when a friend logs in with their account on my phone, the gifs work. So the problem is definitely with my personal account.
There’s no solution on the internet :’(

Hello, so here it is, I have the same problem. I have all the updates done and I don’t have the gifs, and personally, my account is only 1 year old, while my girlfriend's is over 3 years old. But unlike me, she has the gifs, so it can't be due to older accounts because mine is more recent than hers. So I conclude that's it, but we will all just wait for it to come and for them to solve this problem.

I’ve had an iPhone 8+ for a few weeks. I’ve done all the updates regularly and I don’t have the gifs, I’ve never had them even before with my iPhone 6+. I don’t think it’s my account because I installed Instagram on my mom’s Android phone and it works when I log in to my account. It’s really weird, I don’t understand anything. Instagram isn’t responding to my messages. Does anyone have the solution or any idea where the problem might be? Thanks in advance. It drives me crazy not to have this option. It’s silly but I would really like to be able to put gifs in my stories too.

No gifs, no polls. Everything else is okay. It comes from my account as far as I'm concerned, I tried logging in with my fiancé's phone and the same problem, only with my account.. it's getting annoying, like you I don't want to have to create a new profile ugh.

So I have two accounts. My own, which I've had for 3 years, and another one with a friend that is pretty recent. And with my Samsung Galaxy S7 (and the latest updates), when I log into my account, I don’t have the GIF option, whereas when I switch to the shared account, the option is available.
So in my case, I would like to say that it’s specific to each account, but reading some other cases, it’s not... a real headache! Like you, I’m eagerly awaiting this feature!!!

Hello, I don't know if you will have a solution for me, but I have a smartphone 7 android. Before, on instagram, I could add animated gifts in a story and I can still do that now, but the problem is that my story won't publish with the insertion of animated gifts, I don't understand why. This means that as long as the publication doesn't happen, I can't log out of Instagram. To log out of the app, I then have to go into my smartphone settings, go into the app, go to storage, and clear the cache and my data so that Instagram finally closes. Then, if I want to republish photos on Instagram, I reconnect without too much trouble often via my Facebook account, then I have to re-accept all permissions for access to my smartphone photos, it becomes annoying.

Hello, I'm experiencing the same thing but more pronounced; I'm missing certain features from 2016 and all the recent ones (polls, GIFs, questions, ...). Moreover, my app interface hasn't evolved for some time.

As far as I'm concerned, I still have this problem with my main account even though it's FUCKING February 2019 :(
(I have 2 other accounts, one older and one newer that have GIFs, polls, music, etc. with the same phone... but on the account I care about the most: nothing!)
