No sound on LG TV 32LE5510

Question

Hello,
After trying everything
Reset to factory settings
Unplugged and then plugged back in
Updated the channels
When adjusting the volume up or down, the display works fine on the screen but there is no sound, completely silent
Still nothing
NO SOUND!!

Hello GG, I have exactly the same problem with my LG TV 42ld650, no sound (I've tried everything), and I also have sound glitches when I plug in headphones, the picture on my TV is stunning, I wanted to know if you were able to figure anything out?

Last option, buy a soundbar with a digital optical input and connect it to the TV's optical output with an optical cable:   I call a cat a cat *      *in French in the text

Another question I'm asking myself is, if I connect a soundbar with a digital input, will it work? I've opened my TV, and it has two visible electronic boards; does the sound primarily depend on the motherboard, or can it also come from the power supply board?

Thank you for your reply. I'm still going to see if a soundbar could do the trick because the picture on my TV is great, and it bothers me to throw it away without trying to fix it.

If the TV's amplifier is the issue, a soundbar connected to the optical output can solve the problem, but you will need to configure it in the audio menu:
Set the “TV Speakers” option to “Off” in the AUDIO menu (► p. 159).

Thank you Andy, given the price of a new TV, I'm going to try to borrow a soundbar or even buy one that's not too expensive, at least I'll have tried, it breaks my heart to throw it away, its picture is really beautiful.

I'll keep everyone updated, it might be useful.

Here it is, I've tried a soundbar lent by a friend, but nothing works after all the possible manipulations, the sound is not there, so I'm going to make a simpler choice – change the TV.
