Hello,
Here is my problem:
My screen is connected to a Freebox player and a computer via HDMI. For the past 10 days, I have not received any signal: "no signal," yet the cables are plugged in and appear in the "source" menu of my screen (HDMI 1 and HDMI 4, which disappear when I unplug my cables, for info).
- I select the correct output each time (done it 100 times)
- I changed my Freebox player with an HDMI cable
- I connected to HDMI 2 and 3, same problem "no signal"
- I thoroughly configured my Freebox and my LG: "no signal"
- When I plug - unplug the cable connected to my computer, it appears - disappears in my screen devices with the traditional sound of a new device connecting to a Windows computer (ta-da!)
- I updated the software version of my LG screen: "no signal"
- I rebooted my screen in factory reset mode: "no signal"
- My Freebox player works via SCART...
In short, I am freaking out and wondering if it’s simply that LG has a very short lifespan, like premature planned obsolescence (bought in May 2011!!!), or at least some of their components (having a full HD TV and watching via SCART is a bit of a letdown).
My questions:
- Do you see another reason or solution?
- Is it normal that all the HDMI connections stop working at the same time?
- How can I maintain the quality of my screen? Can I connect the HDMI output of my Freebox player to my TV's 5 cable input (I don’t know the name, different colors)?
Thank you for your response, (especially if LG replies directly, I doubt I am the first to experience this...)
Have a good evening ;-)

Hello,
I found myself in the same situation with an LG TV 42LE5510, over 6 years old and more than HDMI (x4) not working despite trying multiple cables connected to PC, Freebox, player...
I had seen this solution using the oven at 200°C but wow!! who could say wow great idea, no one!!!
A moment of madness or a last attempt before heading to the dump in addition to Sebpli's successful trial, and yes, I did it!!!! And what can I say,...... well yes it worked for me at least
I'm left speechless, except for shouting it from the rooftops on this forum
My question for those who might have an idea, what happened to my motherboard at 200°C??
A reset related to a hypothetical "programmed" obsolescence!!, as for the soldering, I believe less because the problem was with 4 HDMI outputs and now they all work!!
The only downside is that I melted the plastic Audio IN adapter (RGB/DV), which I luckily don’t use, so the advice is to remove it (the only piece sensitive to heat)
The modification was done today, I felt too strong a urge to share it, I will confirm in the coming weeks
Saved by my oven, when I tell people around me ........
Thanks for the forum and if this solution can be a kick for the manufacturers, then great
