wrong operation: no sound - LG TV Solved

Question

Hello,I have two remote controls: one that turns off the TV, and the other one (the one sold with the TNT box) to turn it on. It might be the same for everyone...Last manipulation: I turned off my set without looking at the buttons; when I came back later, I noticed that the screen was still on but fuzzy. I turned it off, this time pressing the right button.Except that when I wanted to watch my favorite show, the sound was gone.Thank you for your help.

Hello, have you tried going to the settings and the sound section? Otherwise, check that everything is plugged in correctly (the wires can move for no apparent reason). There you go, keep us updated!

Thank you for your quick response. Apparently nothing is unplugged but I followed your advice and pushed all the plugs in further. It worked... for about ten minutes! There must be some wear or a poor connection somewhere, but where?

You really have to make the most of a short night! ;) What kind of connector do you use to connect your box to your TV? (HDMI, SCART, RCA..?) Maybe try changing the connection (e.g., switch from HDMI to SCART) or if you have spare cables, try changing them; it could be that, hoping it's not the socket that's acting up... ^^'

The television is a LG 19LS4D, the box is a Peekton PK1212. I hope this gives you information about the type of plug. There was sound, but 30 cm from the screen! However, I've fiddled so much in the menu that this time there's no image, just the box logo! You are probably right when you mention the cables: the box (like the TV) is installed high up, while the multiple plug is on the floor. After pulling down repeatedly, the cable must have worn out inside. What do you think? Thank you for your patience :-)

So for your screen and your box, the best thing would be to perform a factory reset of your settings (it will be like it's new). Test the sound after that, you never know ^^'.  I checked the specs of your TV and you have 2 scart ports; it is indeed possible that if your cables were twisted or taut, they may have broken (the best way if your cables are too long is to make loops and attach the middle, not too tight especially). If they are too short, the best solution would be to revisit your setup.  Since your box has (according to the specs) only one scart socket, start by changing the connection on your TV (your TV has 2 scart ports) and if that doesn't work, it would be best to change the cable if the factory resets haven't improved your situation.  If you have other devices with a scart connection, try those first ^^'.  If none of this works, it means the problem is with the socket of your box, and it will need to be replaced. ^^'  If you need further clarification, feel free to ask me. List: - Factory reset of the TV and the box. - Test the sound. - Unplug the scart from the TV and plug it into the other scart socket. - If you have another scart cable, test it on both sockets of the TV; if you don't have another one, buy a new one. - If it still doesn't work, change the box.  Especially if it works after a while, leave it as it is (just remember to always have a spare scart cable, they break easily).  And make sure your cables are not taut, crushed, or too long and tangled. ^^'  Hoping it will work, good luck! ^^'
