Hello,

I'm back again for my "fireplace" on TV: I downloaded a fireplace video, which I was able to transfer to a USB stick after converting it to MP4 format (all thanks to the help of site members). I followed the instructions to the letter and up to now, no problem. But now that I plug my USB into my TV to play the video, it doesn't work. The file appears, but it says: "playback not available," even though we've already watched photos... does anyone have any idea? We're disappointed, we don't want to stop here.
Thanks again for your help.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 63.0.3239.84

    Hello,

maryleg, I found your topic "fireplace fire":
    https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-35074605-video-feu-de-cheminee-sur-tv#p35075167

If you downloaded a file of 5.49 GB, it can only fit on a USB key formatted in NTFS, whereas your TV probably only accepts the FAT32 system, which is limited to 4 GB.

To check, right-click on the USB drive ==> Properties

    Best regards.

Hello, indeed, I had to format my USB stick, and I chose a smaller file so that it would fit on the stick. As a result, it is 3.08 GB. But I must tell you that my problem is not resolved.

The MP4 format may not be recognized by the TV; you should provide the brand and model of this television.

...that I find in the series of KDL-32EX402:

MP4 is indeed supported under certain conditions (page 41/84 of the user manual)... which we don’t know.

So, we would need to convert this video to .avi without exceeding 4GB, then I don’t know, we’ll have to ask Santa Claus!

      Happy End of Year celebrations

Thank you, I just converted it to AVI, but I realize it's more than 4GB; it's 6.61GB after conversion..... is it normal for it to be heavier afterwards than before? So I need to do it again, but by shortening it, ........ if I can manage.
      Thank you. Happy holidays.
